WHY WE GIVE
We know that God created all things and allows us to be stewards over all He has blessed us with. We believe in worship through giving and realize it allows us to partner in the work of God’s ministry in many ways. We believe in equal sacrifice, not equal giving with an understanding that not everyone can give the same amount, but we should be willing to give our best gift to God.
King David put it best when he said “I will not offer burnt offerings to the LORD my God that cost me nothing” (II Samuel 24:24). He understood the importance of sacrificially giving to the Lord. We believe that giving shows trust in God for Him to provide. Giving also helps us understand money is not the end all but a tool that allows us to be partners in what God is doing around us and in His work worldwide.

BIBLICAL REASONS FOR GIVING
To receive the fullness of God’s blessing.
“Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house, and try Me now in this,” says the Lord of hosts, “if I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you such blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it.” ~ Mal. 3:10
To help carry out the Great Commission.
“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” ~ Matt. 28:19-20
To put our faith into practice.
“For we walk by faith, not by sight.” ~ 2 Cor. 5:7
To excel in the grace of giving.
“But as you abound in everything—in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in all diligence, and in your love for us—see that you abound in this grace also.” ~ 2 Cor. 8:7
To encourage others by our giving.
“for I know your willingness, about which I boast of you… and your zeal has stirred up the majority.” ~ 2 Cor. 9:2
To experience the love of God in all its fullness.
“So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.” ~ 2 Cor. 9:7
To bring glory to God.
“… they glorify God for the obedience of your confession to the gospel of Christ, and for your liberal sharing with them and all men,” ~ 2 Cor. 9:13
